If you love peppermint, chocolate and cookies then this is the recipe for you! What could be better than Peppermint Patty cookies? These are perfect for winter holidays or everyday snacking.

How To Make Peppermint Patty Cookies
If you love Chocolate and Peppermint then you have to try these. A few weeks ago I had already made these delicious chocolate peppermint cookies using baking chips. The taste was super yummy. So, then I got the great idea what if I used an entire York Peppermint Patty in my cookies?
The results... Super yummy cookies! These cookies are similar to these salted caramel cookies and also chocolate peanut butter cup cookies in that we're going to use a whole piece of candy wrapped in cookie dough.
Personally, I think that chocolate and peppermint is a perfect flavor profile for Christmas and other winter holidays. A great pairing for these Peppermint Patty cookies is this delicious homemade hot chocolate.
As always, I strive to make every cookie recipe here super easy and fast to make. You can chill the cookie dough for this recipe if you want to have your cookies not flatten out as much. However, it is not necessary.

Step One
Make sure that you gather all your ingredients and also pre-heat your oven to 350 degrees before getting started.
You need to make sure that your butter is softened before getting started as well. Do this either by letting it sit on the counter for a few hours before getting started or you can microwave it. Make sure not to microwave it so long that it starts to melt.
Take your softened butter and put it in a mixing bowl with your sugar. Blend the two together thoroughly with a mixer. This will likely take several minutes. You want to make sure that they are completely mixed.
Step Two
After creaming together your butter and sugar, now you want to add in your vanilla and eggs. Get them into your mixing bowl and beat everything together on medium with your mixer. This takes usually 1-2 minutes.
Step Three
Now, get your dry ingredients and get them mixed together. In a mixing bowl separate from the butter, sugar, eggs and vanilla add your flour, salt and baking soda. Mix these dry ingredients together.
Step Four
Go ahead and dump your dry ingredients in with your wet ingredients and get everything mixed together into cookie dough. You can mix it together either by hand or with your mixer. Whichever you choose, make sure to mix it all together slowly.
Step Five
Now you're going to make your dough into cookies. Unwrap your York Peppermint Patties. And you're going to take about a tablespoon or so of cookie dough and wrap it fully around your York Peppermint Patty.
Make sure not to make your cookie dough balls TOO big, but you do want to make sure you thoroughly cover the peppermint Patty, otherwise it won't be completely covered after cooking.
Step Six
Place your cookie dough balls onto a baking sheet. You want to make sure your cookie sheet is pre-greased with butter or that it's non stick. If you don't pre-grease your cookie sheet, your cookies will definitely stick after cooking.
Step Seven
Pop your cookies into the oven and get them baked. These will take about 12 minutes to cook. Cook times can vary based on size of your cookies, so set a timer for about 8 minutes to start.
Remove your cookies once they are no longer doughy and the sides are a little bit crisp. Make sure to let them cool off completely before removing from cookie sheet and serving.
